META Foundation: Nurturing innovators and innovation ecosystems
META Foundation aims to:
- activate young people and local communities towards innovation and entrepreneurship
- promote and publicize the theme of entrepreneurship, ad in particular knowledge intensive and high growth entrepreneurship, through the conception, programming and implementation of initiatives, programs and events on the subject, as well as by joining existing initiatives and any other form of initiative on the subject of entrepreneurship
- facilitate the networking of all major players operating in the same thematic area in order to share experiences, efforts and energies for the wider dissemination and realization of entrepreneurship of opportunities;
- stimulate and strengthen the development of an eco-system able to involve and animate local and national territories in a capillary way through the sharing of initiatives and events of national and international visibility;
- widen the number of people and subjects who share the same ideals and objectives of the Foundation by promoting entrepreneurial spirit as one of the levers for healthy and sustainable economic development.
META Foundation powers the Citieschallenge and the Creativity Camps and is actively involved in the -
GEN -Global Entrepreneurship Network - hosting it activities in Italy since 2008 through the GEN.it association.
In 2015 META Foundation hosted the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Milan, gathering thousands of entrepreneurs and innovation stakeholders from across the world.
